So just chilling this evening, and I was playing Ryan Adam’s “Oh My Sweet Carolina”, so I’ve put a video of my cover up on YouTube. Camera’s a bit old, but the sounds quality is good, so enjoy 🙂
New Cover
Sex On Fire
Another track I’ve been meaning to cover for ages, Kings Of Leon’s modern classic “Sex On Fire” 🎶 Check it out below 🎧
Escape to the Country
It’s been a jamming morning today: Been enjoying playing “Old Fashioned Saturday Night” by Mike Silver and Darius Rucker’s awesome earworm “Wagon Wheel” 🎶 Here’s the tracks: 🙃
Starlight
Hi all,
Just finished putting the finishing touches to a Christmas album I’m doing with a folk band I’ve been playing with; more info on that on the way. Since I’d not put a track of my own together in the studio for a while here’s a cover I’ve been wanting to do for ages, a classic from last decade; “Starlight” by the Supermen Lovers. On SoundCloud or below, as ever.
More tracks in the pipeline (one or two in a particularly long pipeline of their own…) at the moment, so watch this space 🎧
Ellan Vannin
This is a traditional Manx folk song whose lyrics were written by Eliza Craven Green before the end of the 19th century and set to music by a certain J. Townsend. In 1998, it was covered by the Bee Gees, who were born on the island. The song was originally in 3/4 and I’ve left half a verse out for arrangement purposes; a little artistic license 🙂 “Ellan Vannin”, the alternative name for this track, means “Isle of Man” in Manx.
Freefallin’
Now I’m even doing a cover of a cover… This is a cover of John Mayer’s acoustic version of the Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers track “Freefallin'”.
Piper To The End
Here’s a cover of Mark Knopfler’s “Piper To The End”. Enjoy 🙂
