Red & Golden Fire
One more new track, Red & Golden Fire… Enjoy 🙂
Take It Slow
It’s been a few weeks coming, but here’s the first of the new originals that I’ve been working on, Take It Slow. Feedback always welcome 🙂
Ellan Vannin
This is a traditional Manx folk song whose lyrics were written by Eliza Craven Green before the end of the 19th century and set to music by a certain J. Townsend. In 1998, it was covered by the Bee Gees, who were born on the island. The song was originally in 3/4 and I’ve left half a verse out for arrangement purposes; a little artistic license 🙂 “Ellan Vannin”, the alternative name for this track, means “Isle of Man” in Manx.
Freefallin’
Now I’m even doing a cover of a cover… This is a cover of John Mayer’s acoustic version of the Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers track “Freefallin'”.
Piper To The End
Here’s a cover of Mark Knopfler’s “Piper To The End”. Enjoy 🙂
One more…
Enjoying playing these tracks at the moment so here’s a cover of John Mayer’s brilliant “Queen Of California”, on SoundCloud, as ever:
Country Covers Fest
While I’m at it, here are a few acoustic covers of tracks I’ve been enjoying recently, including Ryan Adams’ “Lucky Now” & “O My Sweet Carolina”, “Something Like Olivia” by John Mayer and a version of Kelsea Ballerini’s “Dibs”. Hope you enjoy!
In the meantime…
In the meantime, here’s an acoustic take of a track I wrote a few years ago, called “She Walks In Beauty”. Lyrics adapted from the awesome poem by Byron of the same name. Check it out on SoundCloud, as ever, right here:
Next stop…
Now that all those tracks that you see in the posts below are up on SoundCloud, I’m going to think about a new project, mainly acoustic. Might be a few months, so watch this space for news on how it’s going!
