Chris Soames – Soundwaves Review Featured Indie Artist!

Thanks to the team at Soundwaves Review for the review of my material at http://soundwavesreview.com/featured-indie-artist-chris-soames/:

Darcia writes: “Chris Soames is an indie musician with an album and some singles floating out in the airwaves. His vibe is largely pop-rock, though he leans into alt-rock, blues, electronic, and progressive at various times. His album, called Trip Inside, strikes a cool balance of styles, smashing barriers in the way only indie music manages to do.”

Ellan Vannin

This is a traditional Manx folk song whose lyrics were written by Eliza Craven Green before the end of the 19th century and set to music by a certain J. Townsend. In 1998, it was covered by the Bee Gees, who were born on the island. The song was originally in 3/4 and I’ve left half a verse out for arrangement purposes; a little artistic license 🙂 “Ellan Vannin”, the alternative name for this track, means “Isle of Man” in Manx.
